Frequently Asked Questions

What does this organization do?

We are a club just for girls that get together as a group and do activities together. Some activities this year have included a luau bingo, luncheons, Mardi Gras Party and a holiday party. Most of our events are held at Peters Place Restaurant in Bridgeville, Pa. The most important part of this organization is to have fun and make friends.

Who can join?

You must be a woman of 50 or over (or you may be a Pink Hatter under 50), and you must attend functions in full attire, (red hats, for women 50 and over, or pink hats if you are under 50). You do not have to attend all of our events to belong to this club. You can decide what activities interest you.

What's the cost to belong?

There is a $25.00 annual fee that includes the bragging rights of belonging to the fastest growing women’s organization in the world, one Red Hat Ladies T-shirt, a membership card, and invitations to reasonably priced bi-monthly activities.

What does it cost to renew my membership, if I was a member the previous year?
The cost to renew is $10

How do I sign up?

To sign up to be a part of our Red Hat Ladies just fill out the registration form on the Joining our Chapter section or call the office at 412-331-1690.

When is your next Event?
Our next event is a Red, Wild and Wonderful Luncheon. Our event will be held at Peter’s Place Restaurant on Sunday, July 29, 2007 from 1—4PM. Each Red Hat Lady will enjoy a delicious lunch, door prizes, games and make a craft. This is one event you won’t want to miss!!  The cost is $25.00 for guest and $15.00 for staff.

Who is that little character on the home page wiggling?
That is Ruby RedHat™. She is the embodiment of the Red Hat Society spirit. She is fun, playful, intelligent and sassy! Ruby is the spirit of the little girl who lives inside all “mature” Red Hatters. She usually dresses in quite the lady-like style and she can comport herself in just as refined a manner as the most royal among us. But, she has an irrepressible side to her personality too, and, try as she might (and we don’t think she tries very hard), she always succumbs to the temptation to just let go and have a ball!
